Neighbourhood Houses employ a coordinator/manager for the day to day running and staff management but also rely on volunteers from their community to help out in a variety of ways including on the Governance Committee to ensure that the community interests are high on the agenda … it is also a wonderful opportunity for individuals to either learn new skills as a member of a committee or utilise existing skills – either way it is a great way to connect and be a part of the decision making process for your local community.
