We are a well established Neighbourhood House, with a lot to offer, situated in the centre of the Hallam community.

We invite you to visit or call your Community Learning Centre and keep updated with what is happening via our noticeboards, programs, website and facebook. Hallam Community Learning Centre (HCLC) can be your home away from home…

The Best Kept Secret In Town!

No matter what you call your local House; a Community Centre, Learning Centre or Neighbourhood House they all have one thing in common and that is a welcoming environment for all members of the community.

Neighbourhood Houses employ a Centre Manager for the day to day operations and staff management but also rely on volunteers from their community to help out in a variety of ways.

The Committee of Governance is voluntary and ensures that the community interests are high on the agenda … it is also a wonderful opportunity for individuals to either learn new skills as a member of a committee or utilise existing skills – either way it is a great way to connect and be a part of the decision making process for your local community. The Support us page shows our current Committee members, and how you can become involved as a member.

Going through the door of a Neighbourhood House has been the turning point for many people in overcoming loneliness; social isolation or plain boredom! It’s your place to learn new skills, enhance your health & wellbeing, share common interests, meet new and old friends in a safe space in your community. So why not investigate your local Neighbourhood House read more.

To support our community post Covid in 2021, we have reduced our pre-accredited course fees, avoid disappointment and enrol early.

Contact us to discuss the opportunity of using your Community Centre for your next small business, group or organisations meeting.

We have various sized rooms, technology and media available to cater to your needs.

Please note that restrictions in place for Covid19 may minimise the space participation available at anytime.
