NIBBLES & NATTER.
On Thursday mornings we have our popular social Nibbles & Natter group who involve themselves in various crafts and knitting skills. This group of friendly women enjoy each others company whilst knitting and creating for charity organisations such as knitting knee blankets for our local Nursing Home patrons, knitting small outfits for SIDS and other articles for our Trade Table to support our Centre.
The ladies usually bring something to eat for morning tea with beverages available in the kitchen for a cost of $2.00 per person between the hours of 9.45 am to 11.45 am.
During this time we also hold special days for other charitable organisations and raise monies to donate to Cancer Council’s Daffodil Day and Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea, to SIDS and to the Juvenile Diabetes Association.
Our ladies will help you with your knitting or crocheting if you need to start from scratch or just need a hand with more styles and combinations of stitches. Most of the wool is donated or if you would like to donate your own for this charitable social group the girls would be quite welcoming either way.
If you just have wool that you are no longer in use of our ladies would appreciate your donations, no need to join, just pop in.
