3 & 4 Year Old Pre-Kindergarten

Our experienced early childhood educators have designed our sessions to prepare your child for Kindergarten, with a structured educational program.

Warehouse & Distribution

Building low level English Literacy & Numeracy Skills, Employability Skills, Skills and Understanding of Australian Standard of Work, Health & Safety (WHS) Skills. Understanding of the Australian workplace and communication on the factory floor. Increase job potential and/or create realistic prospects for promotion.

Learn English Playgroup **NEW**

In this 4-week course you will learn effective customer service skills, communication skills, conflict resolution, data entry and keyboarding skills, work ethic, employment expectations and much more.

Covering a wide range of customer service skills, to help you gain a greater appreciation of a range of employment roles in retail, administration, various industry and business, as a potential career for you!

Advanced Customer Service Skills

In this course you will learn to define your personal pitch objectives, how to develop a structure for an effective presentations, how to conduct meetings including time management and effective exchanging of information. Understanding networking and how to find the right networking group. Plus much more to help you build good customer relationships.

Practical Computer Skills

In this course you will learn file management, shortcuts, social media, internet research, Microsoft programs, google docs/sheets/slides, Dropbox & One drive plus more

Practical Computer Skills Advanced

In this course you will continue to develop your computer knowledge on programs such as Google Docs, sheets and slides along with Google forms, search and Chrome extensions.

Bookkeeping & Finance

Creative Arts

Ready to create an artistic masterpiece? Suited to all levels, whether you are a beginner or a veteran of the brush, this is the class for you. These painting workshops will test and improve your artistic potential in every medium. If you have a project in mind, but don’t know where to start, the tutor will assist you in painting your masterpiece in no time. Please bring along all art supplies you will need to complete your project, including paints, brushes, and artwork medium.

Patchwork Quilting & Basic Sewing

Learn how to make a quilt or complete unfinished objects. Make a cushion, tote bags, pillowcases, aprons. If you are not sure how to start a project, bring it along and we will assist you. Learn how to take up trousers/ jeans, replace a zip or other small repairs to make your clothes wearable. Learn how to make easy simple clothes such as boxer shorts, PJ pants, elastic waisted shorts/skirts. Embroidery, stitches and smocking also offered.
Materials: Basic sewing machine
required – straight and zig zag stitch only. Scissors, pins, thread, fabric, patterns, rotary cutter (if doing quilting).
We have mats and rulers for use in class.

Carers Retreat

Enhance your well-being and take time out from your caring role by taking part in a four- week art and mindfulness program especially for you!

Explore a variety of creative art-making processes and mindfulness techniques in a welcome and friendly space with a small group of carers.

No previous art-making experience required – the emphasis is on the creative process, relaxation and gentle insight.

Qigong

Qigong is a wonderful way to get some gentle healing exercises, strengthen the immune system and de-stress. In these uncertain times Qigong is perfect to bring us out of the worrying overthinking state, into a peaceful place and help us to cope. The slow gentle physical movements of Qigong combined with the breath and mindfulness can bring you out of an overactive thinking mind and bring the body into a relaxed state where the body’s natural healing mechanism can do its work.

Welcome to your Community Garden

The Hallam Community Garden is open for everyone within our local community and we are encouraging anyone who is interested in gardening and would like to join us, in maintaining the garden, to contact us. We will keep you updated via Facebook, our website, local newsletters and flyers. This garden is designed to cater for all ages and abilities, with many areas, it will be a space that you can access locally to meet, learn and share.

Playgroups – Facilitated

Our mixed age playgroups are an engaging experience for both children and adults. Each session is designed to support children in all aspects of their development through fun and educational activities including music and movement and art and craft while supporting Parents and Caregivers at the same time. Our playgroup is facilitated by experienced, qualified and caring Early Childhood Educators with a passion for our community.

* Children up to 12 months of age are FREE.
